Parliamentary hopeful - Generation Y

..."Legal Eagles" is name of the GWSC team. This year, Alexander together with his other 5 classmates are among the 6 people selected to represent the school to participate in this year's Victorian Youth Parliament program.
Youth Parliament every year provides young Victorians aged between 16 and 25 with the opportunity to "raise the roof of parliament" on the issues closest to their hearts.
The program provides young people with an opportunity to develop skills in relationship-building, team-work, public speaking, and leadership as well as to have fun.
Twenty teams of six people from a socially and culturally diverse range of rural and metropolitan schools, universities, councils, community groups and YMCAs from across Victoria are chosen. They are going to take part in a nine-day residential program in July and September, which includes two days debating and presenting bills in Parliament in September.
I can't wait to hear the debates, attend the Opening Ceremony of the 22nd Annual Youth Parliament, to be held in October at the State Parliament House, Spring Street, Melbourne.

Go Legal Eagles!
